WHAT IS SMOKIN’ SOUL?
Smokin Soul is the brainchild of Pat Conway and Jim O’Brien and has been trading since the summer of 2016.
We offer a very unique, original, traditional and sustainable menu and product unlike anything that is currently being offered by mobile units anywhere in Ireland and further afield.
With a background in Agriculture and Construction, Pat has held positions with multinational companies as a supervisor and operations manager. He completed a Higher National Diploma in Agriculture in 2001. Jim has a background in Construction and Culinary Hospitality, has held a position as Chef in Bistro Pubs in London for four years and is a fully qualified carpenter. During his career as carpenter he has been the site manager for the companies he has worked for. He has run many lucrative projects in such places as Covent Garden and the Royal Albert Hall.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
I have been fortunate enough to have attended one of the Smokin' Soul Bbq courses after I met Pat and Jim at The Big Grill festival. The knowledge imparted by the lads through multiple fire based techniques in the most relaxed and fun atmosphere spurred on my passion for Bbq. I am now the proud owner of the Everything model Bbq. It is a joy to cook with. Temperature control and heat retention are easily achieved and the versatility of the Bbq is unreal. I am still marvelling at the workmanship and finish on this build. To end, once you know these guys you are among their Bbq family and Pat and Jim are there to answer any queries regarding Bbq food, techniques and builds.
